Metal Yard makes the best quality of Ring Type Joint. It is a machined metallic ring with a deep grove cut into its face. HASTELLOY C22 RTJ groove rests a metal ring which gets compressed when the connecting bolts of the flange are tightened. This compression results in a leak-proof, close fitting seal on the pipe or connection. Their main advantage being that they can be used for extraordinary circumstances and in highly volatile areas where welding is hazardous. These RTJ flanges are available in various sizes, grades, specification and thickness as per the client’s requirements. They are used in automobiles and engineering related industries.
Metal Yard is also the manufacturer of Stainless Steel RTJ flanges and are classically used in high-pressure and high-temperature services, while Carbon Steel RTJ flanges are spill-proof. Titanium Grade 5 can be manufactured from a number of materials. Alloy Steel RTJ flanges is selected on a number of grounds primarily; chemical compatibility with the media and the hardness of the flange. Duplex Steel RTJ flanges seal when tightened bolts compress the gasket between the flanges into the grooves, coining the gasket to make intimate contact inside the grooves, creating a metal-to-metal seal. Monel RTJ flanges ideally needs to be roughly less than the flange material to ensure sufficient deformation of the gasket without damaging the flange facing.
