The Monel K500 is a particular grade in the cupronickel series, which is distinct from the others in comprising titanium and aluminum along with the other elements. The presence of the additional metals grants the Monel K500 Double Ended Studs stability and resistance. This resistance not only denotes resistance against acids but also includes the ability to resist corrosion caused due to higher amounts of salinity present in the marine water. The K500 grade of monel stud bolts is subjected to age hardening treatment, which adds to the mechanical stability and toughness of the stud bolts.

The ability of the ASTM B865 Monel K500 Threaded Rods to operate effortlessly in harsh as well as cold conditions renders them with usage in oil and gas processing plants, offshore drilling machines, pump shafts, valves, marine equipment, paper production, electrical components, eyeglass frames, etc.
